Delivery time: your files are made after you pay, usually within 10 to 20 minutes and longer when many orders wait. Checkout shows the waiting time before you pay. The download page opens when the files are ready and we email you the link. The link works for 365 days.
Correction: one free correction of your texts (title, captions, years, landmarks) within 14 days, from the download page. A wrong address: write to us and we look at it together.
Refund: a full refund within 14 days, paid back automatically if you have not downloaded the print files. If we cannot deliver your plate, you are refunded in full automatically. All the rules.

United StatesPrices in US dollars, excluding sales tax. If sales tax applies to your order, the total at checkout shows it before you pay.

The country you pay from decides the currency. The place on the plate is a separate choice: we can draw almost any place in the world. A buyer in Germany can order a plate of a street in Ohio, and the other way round.

One code per order. Type it in the code box at checkout.
Gifts
A finished plate for someone else costs the same as a plate for yourself, and the unveiling on a date you choose is free. A gift code costs the same as the plate it buys, in dollars or in euros, and is valid for 365 days. A Basic code can be upgraded to Premium by paying the difference ($20 in the US).
Tax
US prices exclude sales tax. If sales tax applies to your order, checkout shows it before you pay. EU prices include VAT. You always see the final amount before you pay.
Paying
You pay by card through Stripe. We never see your card number. The plate is made at print quality after payment, which can take several minutes. The download page opens when it is done, and we email you the link.
If something is wrong
You can fix a typo in your names or captions once, for free, within 14 days. If we cannot deliver your plate, you are refunded in full automatically. If you have not downloaded the print files, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days. All of it is on the refunds and corrections page.

Printing it yourself
Prefer to print it yourself? You get a file made for print. Any print shop can print it, and a good print on good paper looks like a real poster. Here is what to pick and what to ask for.

Pick a paper
Matte paper of 200 g/m² or heavier (in US terms, around 80 lb cover stock or heavier). Little glare, and it suits the parchment finish well. This is the safe choice.
Archival paper (acid-free, often called fine-art or giclée paper). It lasts longest, so choose it for a plate you want to keep for decades or give as a present.
Satin photo paper. It keeps the dark finishes, such as night and gold on black, deep and rich.
Very glossy paper shows reflections, especially behind glass. We would avoid it.
Where to print
Use any local print shop that prints posters or photos at your size, or an online print service. Choose a shop that prints from a PDF or a PNG at actual size. Ask for a small test print of one corner first if the plate is large or the paper is expensive.
What to ask the shop
Print from the PDF when your plan includes one. If not, use the PNG.
“Scale to fit, no cropping.” The file already has its own margin, so the shop should not crop or add a border.
“Full size at 300 dpi.” The file is made for the paper size you ordered.
Please do not enhance or change the colours automatically.
Keep the credit line at the bottom visible. The map data licence requires it.
Larger or smaller than your file?
At 300 dpi a print is crisp up close. At 200 dpi it still looks good on a wall seen from a normal distance. Premium files are always made at 300 dpi. Basic files are at most 3600 pixels wide, which is about 200 dpi at the largest Basic sizes. Your download page shows, for every file, its size in pixels and the largest print it gives at 300 and at 200 dpi.
